EveryTerm Community Rules

EveryTerm is a space built for university students to share experiences, give and receive advice, and connect over the highs and lows of student life. Whether you're looking for a study buddy, navigating life on a budget, or just need a place to vent—we’re here for each other.

This only works if we treat each other with respect and create an environment where everyone feels safe to speak up, share, and listen. These rules exist to keep that space intact.

Rules

  • Respect your peers. EveryTerm is about community, not conflict. Don’t engage in harassment, hate speech, or targeted bullying—especially towards people from marginalized or vulnerable groups.
  • Keep discussions relevant and real. Share genuine experiences and advice that other students can relate to. Don’t spam, promote scams, or manipulate likes or replies.
  • Protect privacy—yours and others’. Don’t post personal details like phone numbers, student IDs, or private messages without consent. Anonymity is fine; doxxing is not.
  • Be mindful of sensitive content. If you’re posting something heavy, emotional, or graphic, give people a heads-up. Use appropriate content warnings and keep it respectful.
  • Zero tolerance for harm involving minors. Don’t share or engage with any abusive, exploitative, or inappropriate content involving minors—this will result in a permanent ban and may lead to legal action.
  • No impersonation or misleading identities. You don’t have to use your real name—but don’t pretend to be someone else, especially not someone in a position of trust or authority.
  • Keep it legal. Don’t use EveryTerm to share or encourage illegal activities, from academic misconduct to black-market dealings.
  • Don’t mess with the platform. Avoid doing anything that could harm the site’s performance or disrupt the experience for others—like exploiting bugs, abusing automation, or scraping data.

Enforcement

We’ll always try to be fair. Depending on the situation, breaking the rules might lead to:

  • A warning or a nudge to take it down a notch
  • Temporary suspensions or restricted features
  • Removal of posts, comments, or communities
  • Permanent bans in severe or repeated cases

EveryTerm is what we make it together. Keep it kind, keep it real—and if you see something off, don’t hesitate to report it to everyterm.customerservice@gmail.com. Thanks for helping us make this a better space for students everywhere.
